Chicago Traffic Camera Wall
A live wall of up to 48 Chicago highway cameras across 11 highways, refreshed every minute. As of 7:25 PM CST, no highway has a major incident or full closure. Crash data is currently unavailable for most Chicago highways. Updated
Crash data is currently unavailable for most Chicago highways (crashes are reported on I-94 Tollway and I-90 Tollway only). Elsewhere, highway colors and incidents show closures and road work only, so a green highway may still have a crash.

Questions about the Chicago camera wall
How many Chicago traffic cameras can I watch at once?
Up to 48. Choose 12, 24 or 48 cameras; they are spread evenly across 11 highways so every part of Chicago is covered.
How often does the Chicago camera wall refresh?
Every minute, while the page is open and visible. Cameras marked LIVE play real-time video when you tap them.
Which highways are on the Chicago camera wall?
I-90/94 Kennedy Expressway O'Hare to Downtown, I-90/94 Dan Ryan Expressway Downtown to 95th St, I-94/US-41 Edens Expressway to Lake Cook Rd, I-94 Tri-State Tollway Deerfield to Gurnee, I-55 Stevenson Expressway Lake Shore Dr to I-355, I-55 Bolingbrook to Joliet, I-290 Eisenhower Expressway Downtown to Hillside, I-290 Elmhurst to Schaumburg, I-80 Tinley Park to the Indiana Line, I-57 Dan Ryan to 175th St and I-90 Jane Addams Tollway Schaumburg to Elgin.
What do the green, amber and red highway colors mean?
Green means no incidents, only minor ones, or only work zones. Amber means a crash or other incident slowing traffic, or work closing a travel lane right now (planned roadwork outside its scheduled hours does not count). A ramp or shoulder closure, minor work, and months-long project notices are listed as work zones but leave the highway green. Red means a severe or critical incident, such as a crash blocking lanes, or a road closed in one direction (labeled Closed). Colors update every two minutes from transportation department incident feeds. Grey means no status: the data did not load, or the incident feed has not reported for over an hour, so no highway is shown green without data.
