What do the green, amber and red highway colors mean?
Green means no incidents or only minor ones. Amber means a moderate incident, or a closure or work zone while work is actually underway (planned roadwork outside its scheduled hours does not count). Red means a severe or critical incident, such as a crash blocking lanes, or a road closed in one direction (labeled Closed). Colors update every two minutes from state DOT incident feeds.
